Hubi es un simpático pingüino enamorado de la bella pingüina Marina. Cuando por fin se decide a demostrarle su amor, el malvado Drake, que también quiere conseguir a Marina, se interpone en su camino. Hubi debe viajar hasta una tierra lejana y peligrosa. Sólo el amor de Marina le animará a continuar su viaje de vuelta en los peores momentos, luchando contra toda clase de obstáculos y enfrentándose a temibles animales. En su ayuda acudirán algunos amigos pingüinos acompañados de un chiflado insecto. Una película que propone un montón de aventuras para toda la familia. Las escenas de los pingüinos están extraídas de la vida real de estos graciosos y algo torpes animales.
